How Often Should I Get an Oil Change?
Both drivers and engineers have an idea for how long your vehicle can or should be between oil changes, and no shortage of rumors on the subject. While cost is a factor to consider just how many miles you have on your machine before you changed the oil? Frequently changing the oil will positively affect your vehicle performance? Actually, there is no limit, the frequency of oil changes will depend entirely on the type of vehicle you drive, how you drive, and the engine needs.
Usually, the factory recommended oil change interval for most vehicles a year or once every 5000-7000 miles (whichever comes first). Some manufacturers recommend a long time up to 10,000 miles. Generally accepted interval is every 3000 miles or six months, whichever comes first.
